Developing specific sets of competencies is one way to connect employees to the mission of an organization.  This presentation outlines the importance of competency development in mission alignment, how to think about competency development at various levels of leadership, and things to think about when integrating competencies into specific components of the talent management cycle. Additionally, the presentation highlights the YMCA’s approach to competency development for “cause driven leaders”.
