Graciela M. Chanfrau is the Chief Human Resources Officer for The Ohio State University College of Arts and Sciences in Columbus, Ohio. Graciela enjoys the dynamic environment that Arts and Sciences provides as the academic heart of Ohio State — offering unmatched breadth, depth and excellence in the visual and performing arts, humanities, and behavioral, mathematical, natural and social sciences. She has been affiliated with the university for the past seven years after a long career in the private and public sector.
Graciela grew up in upstate New York after emigrating from Cienfuegos, Cuba. Graciela earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Social Science from Binghamton University in Binghamton, New York, and her Master of Arts degree in Management and Change Leadership from Antioch University in Yellow Springs, Ohio. She earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio.
Graciela is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional with the Society for Human Resources Management, Senior Professional in Human Resources with the Human Resources Certification Institute, a Registered Corporate Coach with the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches, and an attorney in Ohio. She is also a member of the Human Resources Association of Central Ohio.
