Today’s employees demand learning and development opportunities more than ever. Learning and development is increasingly rated as an important determinant of a company’s employment brand. Furthermore, research by Bersin shows that the strength of an organization’s learning culture is the single biggest driver of business impact. What can you do to create a learning culture at your organization?  How can you ensure your employees have what they need to learn and grow? The answer isn’t creating more programs or eLearning modules. I’ll share some practical tips to engage your learners a create a learning culture by embedding learning into every step of the talent management lifecycle. 

 

Presenter Bio:

 

 

Angela Justice, PhD is Executive Vice President and Chief HR Officer at Surgery Partners. She leads the Human Resources department and plays a critical role in advancing the Company’s growth objectives by aligning talent with strategy to drive business impact. 

 

Angela has more than 15 years of experience in healthcare and human resources leadership. She most recently served as Chief Learning Officer at Biogen, Inc., an American multinational biotechnology company based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In her role she led global teams in R&D, Medical Affairs, Commercial, Manufacturing Operations & Technology, and corporate functions and was responsible for establishing learning as a competitive force with measurable business impact. She was an active member of the Human Resources Leadership Team.

 

Previously, Angela held senior leadership positions in Global Medical Affairs at Biogen and had worldwide responsibility for developing and implementing the Medical Affairs training strategy, governance, and process excellence.  

 

Angela has held leadership roles at EMD Serono, the National MS Society, and was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company.  She received her PhD in Biopsychology from the University of Chicago, where she was also an adjunct faculty member.
