Presenter Bio:

 

Barbara Ross Miller is a mother, daughter, sister, auntie and author of Woke Up Blonde, Lessons from a Self-Affirmed Leader. She is a mentor and marketing adviser/consultant with senior marketing leadership and content strategy expertise, and has a proven track record implementing and evolving business strategies to drive revenue growth. Ms. Miller is the former Head

of the Brand Activation at Sony Corporation of America.

 

Barbara spent almost 20 years with Sony, and held leadership positions running the Direct Sales organization and Corporate Marketing division for Sony Electronics Inc., including: media planning, CRM, digital content management, and marketing operations teams.

 

Barbara has been awarded numerous Sony accolades and is listed both as a Top African-American Woman in Marketing and Advertising by “Black Enterprise,” 2009 and 2016, Most Influential and Powerful Woman of Diversity by the California Diversity Council, and has been named Trailblazing Mother of the Year by “Working Mother” andAdvertising Women of NY.

 

Barbara volunteers as an executive mentor for WOMEN Unlimited Inc. She is a

member of the Links Inc., a community-service-focused organization, and is a Life member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She has a B.A. in Literature and a MBA focused on marketing.
