Setting and implementing strategy and strategic objectives are critical to the success of any in-house legal department. In this session we will discuss setting strategy, establishing strategic objectives, and creating a strategic plan designed to realize the department’s strategy and achieve its strategic objectives.
Bob Mignanelli is Senior Vice President and COO, Legal & Associate General Counsel Technology & Operations. He has overall responsibility for the Legal Department’s operations, including financial management, technology, shared services, external provider management, communications, and talent management.
In his role as Associate General Counsel, he leads a team of professionals that are responsible for providing legal support and guidance to Pearson's Global Technology & Operations organization.
Bob is a member of the Pearson Legal Department’s Leadership Team and the Pearson plc Senior Leadership Group.
Prior to joining Pearson, Bob held various positions, including corporate counsel for a technology start-up; regulatory consultant for Arthur Andersen; and attorney in private practice in Washington DC.
He is a member of the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Arizona Bars. Bob received his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts, an MBA from the University of Arizona, and holds a JD from The Catholic University of America.
